Ventura Neighborhoods

Ventura is a beautiful coastal city that is known for its excellent weather, laid-back lifestyle, and outdoor recreational activities. The city is home to many unique neighborhoods, each with its own distinct character and charm. Here are a few:

  • Downtown: Downtown Ventura is the historic heart of the city, and it is home to some of the most popular restaurants, bars, and boutiques in town. The neighborhood features historic buildings with lots of charm and character, including the San Buenaventura Mission, and it is just a short walk from the beach.

  • Pierpont: Pierpont is a laid-back beachfront neighborhood. There are homes in the “lanes” with beach access as well as dock-front homes in the Keys. Funky Seaward Ave features restaurants and shops.

  • Midtown: Midtown is (unsurprisingly) a centrally located neighborhood, with easy access to anywhere you want to go in Ventura, including the beach. Homes in this area tend to be from the 1920s to the 1960s. The majority of commerce and shopping is located in this area.

  • East End: The East End of town tends to be the sunny side of town, often escaping the marine layer of fog that is sometimes found right by the ocean. This area features nice parks, and more newer and larger homes. You can also enjoy the agricultural feel of Ventura County.

  • The Ventura Avenue: Another historic area of town, the Westside has a strong art presence, with lots of murals. This area offers easy access to Ojai and Santa Barbara, and features Ventura’s “Taco District.” Most of the homes in this area are California bungalows from the 1920s – 1950s.

  • College Area: This area is clustered around Ventura College, our local community college. The homes in this area are typically ranch-style homes, mostly from the 1950s – 1970s. This is a centrally located area which makes it easy to get around.

There’s something for everyone in Ventura! I am here to help you explore these wonderful neighborhoods and find you the perfect home.
